Training Summary
While as managers, we hope we won’t have to address performance problems, the reality is that performance issues will arise. When they do, managers need to know what to do. This training teaches managers how to identify performance problems and hold employees accountable to performance standards. It addresses the importance of creating and following a progressive discipline process and thoroughly documenting to minimize claims of discrimination and wrongful discharge. Learning objectives include recognizing why and when proper performance documentation is critical, be aware of best practices and pitfalls in documenting performance, identify the proper procedures for documenting performance, and discover and recognize what makes good and poor performance documentation.
