Effective March 8, 2013 the Family and Medical Leave Act notice was revised to reflect changes to the Family and Medical Leave Act. The definition of “Veteran” was revised to include both those who serve and those discharged in the past 5 years (previously it only included those who served). Additionally, the definition of “Serious Injury or Illness” was removed and replaced by a notice stating there are differences between the definition of “Serious Injury or Illness” for a service member or veteran and “Serious Health Condition” under the FMLA.
