Employment Poster requirements are continuously changing throughout the year. In addition to minimum wage changes, there are often state, local, and industry-specific policy changes that require poster updates. If you have one or more employees, your business is required by law to post a current State and Federal Employment Poster in a central location.

Below are recent poster changes to help employers ensure they are using the updated version of their employment posters.

  • California – The City of Oakland, California, has updated their Minimum Wage notice. The updated notice reflects an adjustment of the city minimum wage to $14.36 per hour, effective January 1, 2021. The poster revision date is January 1, 2021.
  • Illinois – The State of Illinois’ Department of Labor has updated their Victim’s Economic Security and Safety Act (VESSA) notice. The updated notice reflects that victims of gender violence are entitled to the same protections provided to victims of domestic and sexual violence. The poster revision date is March 23, 2021.
  • Michigan – The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity has updated the following notices:
    • Minimum wage: The updated notice reflects minor verbiage revisions and the removal of the 2018 minimum wage rates. The poster revision date is February 24, 2021.
    • Paid Medical Leave Act: The updated notice reflects a change to the enforcing agency’s name from the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) to the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO). The poster revision date is February 24, 2021.
  • New Mexico – The City of Santa Fe, New Mexico, has updated their Living Wage Ordinance notice. The updated notice reflects an increase in the living wage from $12.10 per hour to $12.32 per hour, effective March 1, 2021.
  • North Carolina – The North Carolina Department of Labor has updated their Wage and Hour and OSHA notices. The updated notices reflect a new Commissioner of Labor. In addition, a new fax number has been added. The poster revision date is February 25, 2021.
  • Utah – The Utah Labor Commission has updated their Unemployment Insurance notice. The updated notice reflects minor verbiage revisions and changes to the website address, phone number, and addresses for several state employment centers. The poster revision date is March 3, 2021.
